Well hello! I grew up in restaurants, my grandfather owned several in San Francisco and most of my childhood was spent in those awesome spaces. I worked for Marriott for over a decade where I was given the opportunity to work at what was the largest hotel in DC- Wardman Park Marriott, and from there I was hired to open what is now the largest hotel in DC- the Marriott Marquis. I was in charge of all 7 food and beverage outlets and working in restaurants is my happy place. When life, as it does, took unexpected turns, I found myself in New Market. I am a big city girl who never thought I would thrive in a small town, but I have never been happier. When we moved here, our house on Main Street had merchant space on the bottom, and there has never been a truer calling in my life. So I decided to open a cafe. The original plan was a wine bar but when I observed the lack of breakfast and lunch spots, I knew I needed to start there. Everything on the menu has been carefully thought out and I take great pride in supporting local farms and businesses when possible. This is truly my dream come true and I am honored to start feeding this town!
