I and Steven Jeweler are the owners of Ory Custom Florals at 71 W Main St. We started our business at the once hotel Belvedere in 1996. We moved our business here 18 years ago. We love this community and have made many friends since we have been here.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
It’s me, Steven, our two dogs Bella and Tootsie and finally my best boy Blu our lovebird.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I absolutely love what I do and am honored to continue to be part of clients very special occasions. We focused mainly on weddings until Covid19. We have now branched out to daily deliveries and funerals. Before this I worked in orthopedics and Steven designed National Conferences for companies like Mobil Oil and BCBS Federal employee program.

Shannon Flannery is the most interesting and caring person I have ever met.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Stay true to your own heart. I did and have never looked back.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Go to Italy.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love how small we are yet how much we achieve.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Same as now.

I love fall and Halloween

Q: What person, event or experience has made the greatest impact or inspiration in your life?
My mother. She raised 3 of us on her own. She worked in an apple orchard until she decided she wanted better for herself. She ultimately became a nursing assistant.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I have followed an international florist Jeff Leatham. I would love to pick his brain at Dutch’s Dungeon.
