My name is Quinn Walker and I attend Oakdale High School.
I have an older brother, Cole, and an older sister, Julia. Cole, who is 19, is in the West Virginia army national guard and is looking to major in business at West Virginia University. Julia, who is 21, is a music producer and is looking to major in Linguistics at Towson University. My mom is an elementary school gifted and talented teacher in Howard County and my Dad is an addictions counselor at the Orenda Center of Wellness. I also have a awesome slightly psycho Russian Blue cat named Jasper and a beautiful german shepherd/chow chow/pit bull mix dawg named Sadie. Jasper and Sadie are around a year and 11 years old, respectively.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to pursue music education at Towson University to become a High School Band Director.

Panera and Dublin Roasters
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Hawaii because I adore the beach and it just seems like a sick place to go.
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
One of my favorite movies is Hacksaw Ridge. One of my favorite TV shows is Brooklyn 99
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
The advice I would give is that whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability. This will instill a great sense of pride in yourself and you will be viewed highly amongst others. However, it is also incredibly important to provide time for yourself, so make sure to not over-commit yourself.
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
Without a doubt, Mickey Mouse. That just seems like a grand old time to be able to hang around the gang. And Pluto and Goofy just seem like some nice dudes, you know?
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would choose to have lunch with Larnell Lewis, the drummer for the jazz fusion band Snarky Puppy. This is because he has been a huge influence to the way I play the drums, he is one of the best drummers in history, and honestly just seems like a really nice dude.
What is your favorite thing about our community?
My favorite thing about our community is how many different aspects of it are able to thrive. Music, Sports, Academics, etc.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself teaching a High School Band Program.
What is something on your bucket list?
Go White Water Rafting in some really tough waters.
What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Normally I go to my liked songs, which currently starts with a drum and bass song by Netsky and Becky Hill, so we’ll go with that I suppose.
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Month is July because I love the summer. Holiday is Christmas because we get to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, be around family, and give and recieve awesome presents. Best day is also Christmas, its just awesome.
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Pretty much any chocolate milk. I love chocolate milk.
Who inspires you to be better?
My mom, my dad, my girlfriend, and the other incredible people around me that I aspire to be like.
