I was born and raised in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania in a family of 9 where we lived on over 20 acres and enjoyed all sorts of activities and outdoors. I was very involved in soccer for most of my life, which led me to play soccer at Lebanon Valley College, where I studied early childhood education. After graduating, I quickly realized that wasn’t the path for me, and continued my time in retail. After I met my wife, and moved to Frederick, I decided to make a change in career paths during Covid, and became a licensed home inspector. I started working for Blue Crab Inspections, focusing on Frederick, Carroll, and Washington counties. My wife and I have lived in Frederick county for over four years, coming from her hometown in Carroll County. We recently purchased a home in New Market in January 2022, and we’ve been working to make it our own and find our place in the community.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am one of seven children – I have one younger sibling and 5 older siblings. I also have 20 nieces and nephews. My mom has been a respiratory therapist for over 35 years, and my dad has owned a fireplace and stove business for most of my life. They are both from Delaware, but planted their roots in Pennsylvania in the early 90s.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
4 years in Frederick, one year in New Market.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Happiness and taking pride in your work is worth more than any amount of money. There is always time to pivot your life or career to put your happiness first.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To visit other countries, specifically Croatia where my wife and I were supposed to honeymoon when covid hit.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Coming from living in downtown Frederick, it has that small town charm where everyone knows everyone. You can tell how much people care about the community, schools, and businesses.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
For my career, I am working to be a certified master inspector. Personally, I am working on home improvements with my wife, and continuing to travel.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I was homeschooled until 10th grade until I attended public high school for 11th and 12th grade.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Trinidad and Tobago, where I went for a soccer tournament.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Favorite month is June because of the weather. Favorite holiday is Christmas because I enjoy being around family. Best day of the calendar year is Cinco de Mayo because it is my wedding anniversary.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
$7 movie night at warehouse cinemas
Q: What person, event or experience has made the greatest impact or inspiration in your life?
My Dad, because he told me to never be complacent and pushed me to be the best at whatever I set my mind to.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
John Elway because I’ve always been a Broncos fan and grew up watching him win superbowls in the late 90s. He has always had a winner’s mentality and growing up in sports, that was something I was always inspired by. I would take him to my favorite restaurant in downtown Frederick, Firestones.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Safety, family, community.
