I’m Kaitlyn, co-owner of Peridot and resident of Main Street, New Market. I’m an avid crystal collector and history nerd, which led me towards the path of running a crystal shop with my stepmom, Christine! When I’m not playing in the shop with all the gorgeous rocks, you can find me soaking up the sun in our backyard with our lovable shop dog, Boudicca.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Our family is full of a loving eclectic bunch who are always there for each other. Peridot is a family effort and wouldn’t be possible without that special bond.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
In between retail jobs, I went to school for cultural anthropology and ancient studies. The great part about running a store like Peridot, I get to use what I learned from my degree everyday.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived here for 5 years and Peridot has been open for 4.

Community is important, so be sure to get involved with yours!

To travel as much as I can

The history!

Right where I am, happy as can be.

I didn’t learn how to swim until my 20s.
