Hi! I’m Eunice Turner, a resident of New Market since 2017. In 2021, I embarked on an exciting journey by establishing my own woodworking business. In addition to being a devoted stay-at-home mom, raising three wonderful children alongside my supportive husband, I pour my heart and soul into my craft. While I’m deeply passionate about my work, I cherish every opportunity to create lasting memories and share meaningful moments with my family.

 

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My husband and I have been together for 22 years and have three children aged 20, 15, and 10. We love spending time with family, hiking and watching movies.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am passionate about the art of creation and design, where the magic begins with a simple idea. Transforming these ideas into tangible realities is profoundly gratifying, as the sheer process of bringing imagination to life fills me with joy and inspiration.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived and New Market since 2017 and started my business here in 2020.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
One name that stands out above the rest: Sugar Taylor. She has played a pivotal role in my growth, serving as a constant source of inspiration. Sugar’s unwavering support and guidance have propelled me forward, pushing me to expand my skills and reach new heights. I am forever grateful for her influence and the profound impact she has had on my craft.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Embrace the unique gifts within you and wholeheartedly pursue what brings you joy and fulfillment.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would like to hike though the amazon rainforest.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
One of the most remarkable aspects of my community is the unwavering support and solidarity. The genuine care and encouragement we extend to one another fills me with pride and gratitude for being a part of it.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Designing and building amazing works of art.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I wanted to be a neonatal nurse.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Culebra Island

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
Oh, that would be Christmas by a mile.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
A perfect piece of wood, sharp tools and the time to create.

Q: What person, event or experience has made the greatest impact or inspiration in your life?
My mother and father

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
There’s too many people to choose just one, but we would definitely go to Isabella’s
